Community Support - Sensory Path
Members of the
D Morgan plc
and
Balfour Beatty plc
team from the Central Rhyl Coastal Defence Scheme have been busy creating a Sensory Path for 'The Oak Tree Centre' in Rhyl.
The centre is at the heart of Rhyl and has a multiple purpose use, including Family Information Service, Childcare and Play Ranger Service. The centre is committed to providing a safe play environment for all children and young people to develop physical, mental, social and emotional health and wellbeing.
The centre has over 650 young children and families using of the centre daily. Sensory paths are designed to reduce anxiety, stress & excessive energy, encourage exploration, touching, and interaction. Our team ensured they used robust materials that can withstand curious hands!
Well done to everyone involved, including
Cyngor Sir Ddinbych _ Denbighshire County Council.
