Plant and Transport
We operate one of the largest Plant and Transport fleets in the UK, investing in new technology, its digital application and performance. Using our own training Academy, we are the largest in-house plant operator training provider in the UK. We will maintain our commitment to training and investment in the next generation of hardware real-time telematic monitoring of our fleet. Our fleet is used to transport over 2 million tonnes annually of recycled and reusable materials. This is part of our strategy to achieve zero disposal to landfill.
Our plant operators are all registered with the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) and we ensure Continuous Professional Development for our people upgrading to the latest generation technology and preparing for any future changes to the equipment operating systems. Everything we operate is modern with built-in new technology, maintained and safe.
What we do
Transport and Tipper Fleet
- Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS Silver) - FORS Silver Transport and Tipper Fleet, including CLOCS compliance.
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) – our people receive ongoing awareness training. All our drivers have undertaken a Safe Urban Driving CPC course, cycling along busy city roads next to HGV’s giving them first-hand experience of being a vulnerable road user in our busy cities.
- Low Emission Tipper Fleet - incorporating the latest technology, including 5-point camera system, direct vision cab, side protection guards and cycle safety sensors. Compliant with the City of London Standard
- 150T Capacity Low Loader – heavy haulage moving big plant safely anywhere in UK
- Grab Wagons – for material handling
- Fuel Tankers – delivering fuel to our sites

- Excavators from 3T to 50T - incorporating GNSS/TPS Machine Control to 8T, 13T, 21T, 36T, 50T excavators
- Rubber Tracked Excavators 3T to 18T – providing an option to steel tracks
- Zero Tail Swing Excavators 3T to 18T – working in restricted space
- Long Reach Excavators - waterway dredging maintenance
- Wheeled Excavators 5T to 18T - highway maintenance

Fleet Maintenance Service
Our Workshop Technicians are qualified to NVQ level 3 and members of the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE).
As well as our own Fleet Maintenance requirements, we provide a service to external Customers.
